Located about 10 miles south of Knoxville, Tennessee, in beautiful Blount County, Rockford Lodge was established on November 18th, 1875.  The original building, which supplied a schoolhouse for the community on the lower floor, was sited just to the left of the current structure in the picture above.

The building as shown in the picture was erected in 1949-50, though there have been several changes since then.  For instance, the garden area in front with the flagpole, the parking lot pavement, the awning on the left, the mural in the front facade, and the office addition to the right have all been added since 1994.

Rockford Lodge currently has about 170 members, most living in the area, but some residing as far away as Washington State.

Rockford Lodge is very active in community needs.  One of the most important of these is  adoption of Rockford Elementary School for such things as essay contests, teacher appreciation dinners, playground construction, and building improvement.

Rockford Lodge also has a trash pickup route and has helped with the Special Olympics program for several years.  It also maintains an ongoing Charity Fund for helping not only Brothers but anyone else in the community who has need of assistance.

Rockford Lodge continually tries to bring Freemasonry into the public eye.  We feel that is the future of the Fraternity.  To further this goal, Rockford Lodge is currently in the process of starting a DeMolay Chapter to bring young citizens into contact with the philosophy of our Craft.
